Linksy ("the app") saves media from a LinkedIn post — videos, photos, carousels and PDF document posts — onto your own device. It is published by Rajesh Hadiya. This policy explains what information the app processes, who else is involved, how long anything is kept, and the choices available to you.
Information the app processes
- Links you provide — a post link you paste, share to the app, or accept from your clipboard. It is used only to retrieve the item you asked for, and it is not sent to me.
- Media you save — the files you choose to download. I never receive a copy and hold no record of what you have saved.
- Advertising and device information — collected by Google in the course of serving ads. See “Advertising” below.
- App data on your device — your saved library, its thumbnails, and your settings.
I do not operate any server that receives your information. There is no account, no user profile, and nothing about you for me to look up, disclose, or lose.
Connections the app makes
When you ask for an item, the app connects from your device to LinkedIn to retrieve it. Those connections are made directly by your device and are not routed through any system of mine. As with any request to a website, they include standard information such as your IP address, and LinkedIn’s handling of that is governed by LinkedIn’s own privacy policy.
The app retrieves only an item you have specifically asked for, and only where that item is already publicly accessible without signing in. It does not sign in to LinkedIn, never asks for your LinkedIn credentials, and has no access to your LinkedIn account or to anything private within it.
Advertising
The app is free and supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. Ads are delivered by Google within their own software, and in the course of this Google may collect and process information such as your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, device and app details, and your interactions with the ads. That information is processed by Google as described in Google’s privacy and advertising policies. It does not come to me — I receive only aggregate earnings figures, which identify no one.
Permissions the app asks for
- Photos and media — to save what you download to your device, and to show your saved items inside the app’s own library.
- Notifications — to tell you when a download finishes or fails. Optional: decline it and downloads still work.
- Network access — required, since retrieving the item you asked for is what the app does.
Stored on your device
- The media you saved, written to your device’s media library and to the app’s own library folder.
- A record of the items you have saved, with thumbnails generated on your device.
- Your settings, such as theme, and small pieces of app state such as how many saves you have completed.
None of this is synchronised, backed up to me, or tied to any identity.
What the app does not do
- No accounts and no sign-in of any kind.
- No analytics and no crash reporting.
- No sale or sharing of personal information.
- No collection of what you save — I hold no record of it.
How long information is kept
Because I receive nothing, I retain nothing. Everything the app keeps stays on your device for as long as you keep it there, and goes when you delete it or uninstall the app. Information collected by Google for advertising is retained by Google under Google’s own policies.
Your choices
- Withdraw any permission at any time in your device settings; the app continues to work with reduced function.
- Reset or delete your advertising identifier, and limit ad personalisation, in your device’s privacy settings.
- Delete everything the app holds by removing your saved media and uninstalling the app — see the account and data deletion page.

Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone below the minimum age required by their app store or by local law. I do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated here and the "last updated" date revised before the change takes effect.
