KeepClip ("the app") is a save-for-later app for iPhone and Android, built by Rajesh Hadiya. It has no account, no analytics, no ads and no crash reporting. What you save stays on your device. This page explains what that means.
The short version
Your saves, notes, tags and collections are kept on your phone, and the app does not send them to the developer. The only network use is fetching the pages of links you add, so it can show a title and a preview.
What the app stores — on your device only
- Your saved links, text and images, with your notes, tags and collections.
- For a saved link: its title, site name, preview image address and the page text, which is what lets you search inside saves.
- Your settings, such as theme, view and what the Revisit section shows.
All of it is kept in the app’s own storage on your device, in a local database and settings file. Images you save are copied into the app’s private storage. On iPhone, the share extension and the app use a shared storage area on the device, so a save made from the share sheet shows up in the app.
Links you add
When you add a link, KeepClip downloads that page from its own website to read the title, preview image, site name and page text. It also loads the preview image from that site when a card is shown, and may keep a copy in the app’s cache. These requests go from your phone straight to that site, so the site can see them, as it would for any visit from a browser, including your IP address. They do not go through us.
Clipboard, images and permissions
- In the save sheet, a Paste button appears when your clipboard holds a link. The app reads the clipboard when you tap it.
- On iPhone, images come from the system photo picker, which shares only the photo you choose.
- On Android, the only permission is internet access, used to fetch pages and previews.
What the app does NOT do
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics or tracking.
- No ads and no ad identifiers.
- No crash reporting.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data.
- No data collection, sale or sharing — nothing is sent to the developer.
Backups
Your phone’s own backup may keep a copy of the app’s data: iCloud Backup on iPhone, if you use it, and Google backup on Android. Apple or Google holds those copies under their own privacy policies, and we have no access to them.
Deleting your data
You can delete saves in the app. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device. Backup copies held by Apple or Google are managed in your iCloud or Google backup settings.
Children's privacy
KeepClip collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated here and the "last updated" date revised before the change takes effect.
