Common questions

  • Which iPhones work? iPhone XS or newer, on iOS 18 or later. Recording both cameras at once needs hardware support that earlier iPhones do not have.
  • Why does it say dual camera is not supported? Your device cannot run both cameras simultaneously. The app tells you rather than failing silently, and single-camera recording still works.
  • Where do my recordings go? Straight to your photo library, as soon as you stop recording. There is no export step and no wait.
  • Does the teleprompter appear in my video? No. It is drawn on your screen only and is never part of the recorded file.
  • Can I save the individual camera feeds? Yes — Settings lets you save the combined video, either raw camera feed, or all three from a single take.
  • Can I move the picture-in-picture window while recording? Yes. Drag, pinch to resize, and tap to swap all work mid-take, and the movement is baked into the finished video.
  • Why does it need photo library access? It is the only place a finished recording can be saved. The access is add-only — DualCam cannot read or delete anything already in your library.
